Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser so it can work properly and remember your choices. We use a few that the site needs, and analytics cookies only if you accept them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

These are always on, because the site cannot work without them.

• cc_cookie remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask on every visit. It lasts about six months.
• tml_site records that the full site is not open to you yet, so its pages take you to our launch page. It lasts a day.
• tml_dev is set only for our own team, after they sign in with the team password, so they can view the unfinished site. It lasts 30 days.

To stop the team sign-in being guessed at, we limit the attempts made from one connection. That limit uses a short record on our server, not a cookie; our Privacy Policy explains it.

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site. It sets _ga and a second cookie whose name starts _ga_, which last up to two years. Its advertising features are turned off.

If you reject them, or make no choice, they are not set and no analytics data is collected.

On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies, with Accept all and Reject all given equal weight. You can change your choice at any time in Cookie preferences. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, though the site may then ask you again.
